Edinburgh Castle was pretty cool although I think Stirling Castle is just as good and not nearly as crowded.
There was no queue to see the Royal Jewels when we arrived about 10:30, but within 15 minutes the queue had grown to three quarters the length of the Castle parade square so it pays to arrive early.
We had another late lunch, and not much of it either as I had a coffee and danish while Lois had tea and a biscuit. We had our lunch at one of the shops along the Royal Mile after we were finished at Edinburgh Castle.
We stopped at the National Gallery on the way back to our apartment around 3:00. It was actually kind of overwhelming to see so many paintings at once. Some were absolutely huge, the artist would’ve required a ladder to paint the top of the canvas.
After we had finished at the Gallery, we stopped at the COOP and bought some food for dinner composed of beef pastry. I’m not sure what they’re called, but they were pretty tasty.
Its always a good idea to drink lots of water over the course of the day. Especially if you are on foot. I ended up feeling sick due to dehydration and I drank a lot of water that night before going to bed to negate its effects.
